Hungarian Falls are an icon in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. When one considers the hike that has to be undertaken to get to the location, especially to the bottom of the final set of falls, it's a wonder that so many people hike out to view them. Well, it's a wonder until one actually gets there. Hungarian Falls is actually a sequence of falls, ranging from small 5 foot falls to a very long drop over the final falls. Best viewed in spring or fall, the flow over these falls are most impressive during the spring melt and the foliage is most impressive in late September or very early October.
